Every 9 seconds a woman is
battered in the United States. You can help fight the battle against
domestic violence by patronizing or donating to My Sister's Place (MSP) - a unique family thrift shop located at 380 Main
Street in the heart of downtown Ansonia, CT. My Sister's Place offers quality new or "gently used" clothing,
furniture, and household items to the public at discount prices. All
proceeds from My Sister's Place support
Birmingham Group Health Services, Inc.'s
The
Umbrella program - serving women and children who are affected
by domestic violence. The Umbrella provides emergency shelter,
counseling, therapy, advocacy, and other critical services that
offer hope and help save lives.

There are several ways to help support My Sister's Place
and The Umbrella
domestic
violence program. One way is to patronize our bright, well stocked
store located at 380 Main Street in downtown Ansonia, CT.
My Sister's Place offers a large selection of high
quality new and/or "gently used" family clothing and shoes,
appliances, housewares, furniture, toys, and other items at discount
prices and is a terrific outlet for bargains all year round.
Whether you're decorating a new apartment, dressing for a new job,
or outfitting the kids for school, you're sure to find what you need
at
My Sister's Place.

Another way you
can help support My Sister's Place, and the fight against domestic
violence, is to donate your new or gently used clothing, furniture*,
and household items to our store. Whether you're an individual
or an organization, have just a few items or a whole truck load, My
Sister's Place
welcomes any donation (as long as items are in good, resaleble
condition).
*My Sister's Place is no longer accepting donations
of upholstered
furniture, stuffed animals, or infant car seats due to health
and
safety risks.
For donation guidelines, please download our
donation guidelines brochure.
